While previously joining the “Explorer” moniker for a transformation of literal height, the Jordan 3 is now dialing up its tactical motifs for a recreation of militaristic appearances, blending in some DNA from the coveted SFB line. While the base is a familiar entry into the Jumpman line-up, the rest is a farfetched imaginative playground of reinterpreted lace positioning and modified construction. Elevated top lines act as the focal point of the shoe, lifting and tightening toward the ankle for doubling protection. Zippers adorn the medial for necessary accessibility, which intersects with the elongated laces that wrap around the body for a deeper connection to combat boots. Two schemes debut this newfound design, with one opting for a tonal desert palette and the other an assortment of colorful tones on white, matching the materials they exclusively utilize.
